Frequently Asked Questions.
What is the difference between the Warm & Cold Weather Formulas?
The distinction refers to application temperature. Once cured, Dura-Fix performs well in any temperature.
Because epoxies cure by temperature ( not by air drying ), the times will be directly effected by the air and surface temperature. The hotter it is, the faster it will cure. The colder it is, the slower it will cure.
When determining which material to use ask the following questions:
What will be the average temperature during the curing period?
Do I expect to return the next day to complete the repair ( sand and paint ) or can I wait an extra day or two ?
Do I need to complete the repair the same day?
If the average temperature (over a 12 hour period) of your project is 70° (or greater) choose the WWF.
If the average temperature is below 70° choose the CWF.
If an overnight cure is not required, choose the WWF.
If you require the same day curing ( in above 70° temps ) apply the CWF early in the day. I should be cured enough to sand and paint after 8 hours.
Is Dura-Fix re-sealable?
Yes, both the 2n1 single cartridge and the dual cartridge are resealable.
After use, it’s important to make sure the plug and cap are wiped clean of all excess material.
Store in a cool, dry area.
Once opened, Dura-Fix will store for 1 year.
